Agricultural Sales/account Manager

The Agricultural Account/Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and maintaining strong relationships with customers in all sales sectors of the market. The role requires developing and implementing effective sales strategies to promote the company's products, services, and solutions to the Corrugated market. The position involves reporting to the sales lead, generating and supporting leads, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets within the agricultural sector
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including farmers, agribusinesses, distributors, and retailers.
- Sales Teamwork: Support the Sales team with integrity, high performance and company values
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends in the agricultural sector.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the customers product offerings, including seeds, fertilizers, equipment, fmcg, and crop protection solutions, to effectively sell and educate customer about our product.
- Lead Generation & Sales: Generate new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, trade shows, and referrals. Develop proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.

- and post-sales support to customers, ensuring they receive high-quality products and services and that their needs are addressed promptly.
- Reporting & Documentation: Track sales activities, maintain customer records, and prepare regular sales reports to monitor performance against targets.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, manage budgets, and monitor the financial performance of the sales team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment of sales activities and customer satisfaction.
- Training and development: Train and develop new and existing sales team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Product Feedback: Gather customer feedback and communicate it to product development teams to enhance product offerings.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards while conducting sales actiivities.
Minimum qualifications:
- Education: minimum of a bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Sales, or a related field
Experience: at least 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the agricultural or agribusiness sector, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of agricultural products, services and industry trends
- Knowledge of the local agricultural market, customer segments and distribution channels.
