**Requirements**:
To qualify for this position, you must:

- Be a fully qualified dental technologist with a B-TECH degree or National Diploma in Dental Technology, with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Have an overall understanding of the technical processes in each department. You should be experienced in all aspects of dental technology, including crown and bridge, implants, dentures, and removables. You must also be able to communicate effectively with dentists by having a thorough understanding of all the products the lab offers.
- Have an understanding of CAD 3D digital milling and printing for crowns, bridges, veneers, implant abutments, and metal copings.
- Have a working knowledge of quality assurance in each discipline.
- Have a minimum of 10 years' experience talking with dentists, treatment planning, and problem-solving.
- Have an understanding of multi-departmental workflow.
- Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with our dental clients and our technical team.
- Have strong supervisory/management and leadership skills.
- Have a positive attitude.

**Description**

As a Dental Technician at Durban Labs, you will support the lab manager by executing the following tasks:

- Quality control of all crown and bridge and support to the removable team by doing quality control checks.
- Communication with dentists discussing treatment plans, and dealing with any technical issues.
- Staff training in the various areas of dental technology. Input and communication with our digital team is critical, which includes discussing treatment plans with our CAD/CAM department, understanding 3D printing workflows, and troubleshooting digital cases with dentists.
- Assistance and support to continue to digitize our lab processes from analog to digital by utilizing all our digital resources.
- Supporting Durban Labs to continue to develop into one of the leading digital labs in Canada. This will include assisting in research and development of how we can use the latest digital technology to increase our products and services to dentists.
- Attendance at the various continuing education courses Durban sponsors to promote Durban's services. In addition, supporting the various hands-on exercises at the education courses.
- Supervision of specific staff members.
