**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Must have a National Diploma in Agriculture or similar
- +7 years experience in Commercial Farm Operations will be required
- Must have irrigation experience - priva irrigation experience will be ideal
- Must have strong pest, disease and nutrition knowledge as well as Good Seed and Plant Practices Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
- Must be willing and available to work weekends when required
- Must have a valid drivers license and own transport
- Managing employees in breeding, seed production and product development functions.
- Performing seasonal, monthly and weekly planning.
- Managing all site activities regarding crop management and crop production.
- Preparing and managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Managing irrigation systems, fertilisation programmes, soil health and pest control programmes.
- Purchasing supplies and submitting purchase orders to the Financial Department.
- Ensuring all farm activities comply to GSPP.
- Ensuring training is completed for all employees on GSPP and ISO requirements.
- Implementing performance management processes for the Farm Assist and Team Leaders.
