**Job Purpose**:
To perform tasks in network, systems, and programming work. Customers may include internal Caterpillar organizations (service centers and/or worldwide business units, Oil Lab, and Middelburg), suppliers, dealers and/or product end users.

Responsibilities of the incumbents are along functional lines with individual Associate IT Analysts in Applications assigned, new development and/or maintenance of existing network, personal computer, server, and/or distributed computing systems including hardware and software management. Incumbent should be available 24/7 based on nature of job.

**Job Duties**:

- Works on local or corporate systems.
- Assigned Local System Administrator rights for all approved IT upgrades.
- Supports and administers global IT security programs at a local level.
- Responsible for maintenance of all local servers, including shared drives, print servers, etc.
- Co-ordinates the local mobile phone and data solutions and contacts.
- Co-ordinates local purchases related to IT responsibilities.
- Co-ordinates local IT hardware support including maintenance and repairs.
- Co-Ordinate local telecommunication solutions, including fibre.
- Co-Ordinate physical IT asset verification and controls.
- Co-Ordinate interfaces into the CAT Network with any third-party service provider.
- Co-ordinates local server rooms including UPS systems.
- Support and manages capital projects including procurement and installations.
- Supports users on IT ticket raising and resolution.
- To ensure IT compliance work with programs, systems testing and evaluation and familiarity with computer hardware and interfacing of hardware.
- Stay abreast of technology improvements and recommended upgrades. Supports and manages business decisions at a local level.
- Assists regional teams in integration of major system modules and programs.

**Education/Experience/Qualifications**:

- A completed 4-year college or university degree and must be familiar with various programming languages. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.

**Job Requirements**:

- Knowledge of procedures and operations of the functional business areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer operating systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware and software and how to implement such hardware and software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of network infrastructure design, installation and management.
- Demonstrated ability to reinforce high quality standards driven by company objectives.
- 6Demonstrated ability to create and maintain an environment conducive to collaboration across corporate business units and service divisions.
- Knowledgeable of current operating environment, programming languages, logic diagrams, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Follows established development and support processes.
