Qualified hydrologist with 10 years of relevant experience in Consulting for the Mining Sector. BSc Honours degree in hydrology and professional registration required as a minimum.
- Must be proficient in GoldSim, PCSWMM and have experience in hydrological studies outside of South Africa. Main tasks will include site wide water balances, salt balances, impact assessments and regional and site specific hydrological assessments.Key Responsibilities
- Provide the hydrological input into EIA/EMP/IWWMP and IWULA.
- Conduct water quantity/quality monitoring as part of baseline assessment.
- Conduct field work including site reconnaissance/audit, locally and internationally.
- Conduct flood line modelling and hydrological assessments through the use of HEC_RAS and other hydrology software.
- Develop water and salt balances.
- Undertake stormwater management plan modelling studies
- Undertake surface water impact assessment studies.
- Draft technical reports
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Carry out business development and marketing activities.
- Project managing and administrating projects.
