IT Procurement Analyst

The purpose of this role is to provide expertise to support the IT Procurement function in all areas of procurement, contracts, and supplier management.
The IT Procurement Analyst has responsibility for supporting the day-to-day sourcing of IT requirements globally, overseeing the renewal of existing software and services agreements, reviewing supplier contracts, and ensuring that Control Risks maintains a compliant position with regards to supplier contracts.
This includes maintaining an awareness and understanding of spend against budgets, owning the procurement cycle from the validation of requirements, through contract review, negotiation, to obtaining appropriate approvals and ensuring that records are maintained.
- Support the IT Procurement function in all sourcing activities on behalf of the DTS department, including our purchase-to-pay process, gathering and validating requirements, obtaining competitive quotes, vetting suppliers, obtaining appropriate approvals and recording purchases in the contracts database.
- Monitor and maintain the contracts database, such that all contract renewals are addressed proactively and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a good understanding of the overall IT spend against budget / forecast.
- Provide regular reporting updates against all project related work undertaken.
- Provide input to vendor audits and compliance reviews.
- Maintain appropriate software and hardware asset information to enable effective decision making on spend and compliance

**Requirements**:
Knowledge and experience

Procurement & Supplier Management
- Relevant recent experience in an IT Procurement role.
- Experience of and ability to create and develop contract, performance and relationship management procedures.
- Experience of negotiating supplier contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Able to lead an RFI / RFP process.

Software Licensing
- Understands key components of software licensing, particularly with regards to major vendors including Microsoft.
- Understands licensing terminology and can convey this to stakeholders effectively.
- Able to understand software compliance positions.Accounting and Contract Management
- Understanding of finance terminology and experience using Dynamics 365 Finance.
- Able to interpret and understand finance reporting.
- Able to understand key component of managing and tracking asset information.
- Has had some exposure to supplier legal contracts and an understanding of contractual language and common clauses.

Qualifications and skills
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in business management or a related field from a recognised university.
- Organised, proactive, and able to address requests with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise and multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Articulate with excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills. With the confidence to engage and interact at all levels.
