**JOB DESCRIPTION**SA Metal Group conducts expert waste and scrap metal management services for a large manufacturing entity in the region. This role is primarily aimed at facilitating this function by managing and leading the entire branch in terms of, but not limited to;
- Daily operations, planning and managing of the branch.
- Leading and managing a team in order to achieve operational requirements
- Ensuring Company policies and procedures and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
- Ensure that staff members are trained on and strictly adhere to the Second Hand Goods Act
- Maintaining excellent customer relations
- Ensure that materials are accurately classified and graded at all times as per the set commodities list as per company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that commodities are weight correctly at all times

**Qualifying experience**
- Must live within 45 minutes’ drive of the Secunda area
- Own reliable transport
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Supervisory/Managerial Experience, particularly in a production environment
- 5 years’ experience in production environment in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in discipline and IR
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Knowledge of scrap metal industry is preferred
- Computer literacy
- Basic knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Valid driver’s license
- Good knowledge of the Second Hand Goods Act

- Being self-motivated and taking initiative when the need arises.
- Good administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent organizational ability
- Ability to communicate well (both verbally and in writing)

- Commitment to a strong business ethic and integrity.
- Must able to work accurately, under pressure, in order to meet strict deadlines
