Without a dedicated workforce Caterpillar could not effectively meet our customer’s needs. **JOB PURPOSE**: The successful incumbent will identify and develop new business opportunities for the local Operations facility in line with Corporate and Division Growth Strategies as well as develop and manage relationships internally, Caterpillar dealers and clients. This position is the "one safe source" for customer communications and customer relations. **JOB DUTIES**: - Designs end-user’s equipment fleet understands site production, financial structures, Maintenance and Repair strategies, and operational activities such as Fleet Management, Condition Monitoring, Technology, Asset Health. - Completing in-depth commercial assessments of the customer's sites and business operations. - Designing appropriate solutions contract proposals to improve customer's fleets availability and productivity. - Develop and manage Customer Relationships (Internal & External) - Working with dealers and internally to spec and price the equipment fleet, product support and technology alternatives strategies. - Key communication skills to conduct weekly and monthly meetings internally, with Dealers and customers to discuss Product Quality, Continuous Improvements projects, Service Delivery and Build Fleet Performance. - Business Development (new and existing products) - Represent Division at Senior Management level. - Sponsor implementation of corporate initiatives. **BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**: - A completed 3-year qualification in Business Management or similar - +8 years’ prior experience in a similar position and have demonstrated the ability to work independently. - Excellent business acumen skills with the ability to influence others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers. - Engineering background with a thorough understanding of Caterpillar engineering processes, specifications, and product knowledge. Also essential is a proven background in supervisory/leadership skills.
