Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Azure Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure data solutions aligned with our business strategy. You’ll play a key role in evolving our data ecosystem within the Microsoft Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Roadmap: Develop data architecture strategies and roadmaps in line with organizational goals, using components like Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake Gen2
- Solution Design: Define and implement data models, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks to support high-quality analytics and BI outcomes.
- Governance & Compliance: Establish data governance frameworks, ensure security, privacy, and compliance adherence with data protection standards.
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize data processes, troubleshoot complex data issues, and implement cost-effective and scalable solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business, IT, and analytics teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and provide mentorship.

**Required Experience & Skills**
- Experience: 5+ years in data architecture or engineering, preferably in Azure environments
- Azure Expertise: Strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Databricks, Azure SQL DB
- Data Modeling & ETL: Proficient in designing robust data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
- Security & Governance: Skilled in data security, RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure AD integration
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to analyze performance and data quality.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and present technical information clearly.

**Desirable Qualifications & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, Synapse Analytics, or Databricks.
- Experience with Power BI, Qlik, SQL, Python, or other data technologies
- Familiarity with machine learning integration and managing ML models is a plus.
- Experience in deploying solutions using IaC tools (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep)
