Job Description: Junior Assistant / Studio Administrator

Location: Cape Town, Woodstock

Reports to: National Operations Manager

Job Summary:
You will be the face of the Wedding Boutique and make sure that all back end requirements are met. Occasionally you will need to see clients during season and whenever needed.

Daily administration tasks:

- Ensure all Whatsapps have been responded too.
- Make sure all dresses are packed and sent between our JHB and Cape Town store when required.
- Ensure all Google Docs that the team uses on a daily basis is up to date.
- Report back to the GM whenever required on various admin and reporting necessary to run the store effectively.
- Online ordering of stationary, milk etc. that the boutique needs.
- Driving to a fabric shop or haberdashery for sewing stock from time to time.
- Manage all bookings on Timely
- Answer the telephone and assist clients as necessary
- Do monthly stocktake
- Make sure all dresses are tagged and re tagged when necessary
- Manage all deliveries in and out the studio
- Serve all clients tea/ coffee etc upon arrival
- Wash dishes

Visual Presentation of studio:

- Maintain an immaculate and appealing store environment.
- Participate in visual merchandising and window displays to showcase bridal collections.
- Ensure that dresses and accessories are well-organized and properly stored.
- Ensure that the mannequins are visually appealing and well-maintained.
- Participate in regular restocking and inventory management efforts.
- Contribute to the overall aesthetics of the store through creative merchandising.
- Make sure all dresses are tagged with the correct size and price.

Working Conditions:

- This position involves a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- The role require assisting brides in and out of wedding dresses and veils, involving close physical contact.
- It may also involve some lifting or carrying of wedding dresses and boxes.

Product Knowledge:

- Develop an extensive understanding of wedding dress designers, fabrics, and styles.
- Develop a strong understanding of the clothing and accessory lines available in the store.
- Stay updated on bridal fashion trends, accessories, and related industry knowledge.
- Share detailed product information, including dress features, customizations, and care instructions.
- Keep up-to-date with seasonal collections and promotions.

Bridal Consultations (when necessary):

- Welcome and establish rapport with brides and their entourages.
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Conduct in-depth consultations to understand each bride's style, vision, and preferences.
- Actively listen to customers' needs and preferences, and provide tailored recommendations.
- Assist in fitting rooms and offer helpful advice on clothing choices.
- Offer professional advice on wedding dress silhouettes, styles, and accessories that complement their body type and theme.
- Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or issues professionally and promptly.

Fittings and Alterations (when necessary)
- Coordinate bridal dress fittings and alterations, ensuring a perfect fit.
- Collaborate with in-house seamstresses to address alterations and customisation requests.

Teamwork and Communication:

- Collaborate effectively with all team members and store management to achieve common goals.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge sessions as required.
- Communicate any customer feedback or product requests to the GM.

Pay: From R160 000,00 per year
