Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery items, including bread, rolls, specialty breads and other baked goods according to recipes and store standards.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all bakery products.
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices in compliance with local health regulations.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, such as ovens, mixers, and proofers, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to SPAR’s safety and cleanliness standards.
- Work early morning or flexible shifts as needed to ensure fresh products are available throughout the day.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a baker for at least 2 years, preferably in a retail or grocery store environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Team player with good communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or baking certification is a plus.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
