Job Title: Health Coach - Wellness Specialist

A wellness specialist position at Discovery Limited seeks to fill a role where the selected candidate will be responsible for coaching eligible members on health behavior change strategies. The primary goal is to enable individuals to self-manage their health, reducing healthcare costs and improving overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with covered persons/members through active engagement and communication.
  • Analyze individual conditions, set achievable goals, and create personalized plans focusing on key areas such as weight management, exercise, mental wellbeing, and condition management.
  • Provide guidance on habit formation and sustained changes, helping members adapt to new environments and make healthy decisions.
  • Track and measure short-term and medium-term outcomes, ensuring tangible improvements in member health.
  • Effective planning and organization of scheduled coaching interactions to optimize time utilization and drive adherence to goals.
  • Apply industry-leading coaching principles, including behavioral change, motivational interviewing, reflective listening, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Clinical qualification and registration with relevant health professions bodies.
  • At least two years of work experience in your profession.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
