Accountant / Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic financial team at Centre Recruit Consultants. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights for management decisions.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related documentation.
  • Audit Support: Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, assisting auditors as needed.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and reporting to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, supplier statements, and inter-company accounts.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting functions and implement best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., PASTEL, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have own transport for commuting to work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
