Sales Area Development Manager

Dymaxa Recruitment is seeking a Sales Area Development Manager to join our client, a leading footwear manufacturer in Cape Town.
About the RoleAs a Sales Area Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning and implementing sales strategies in the Western Cape region. Your primary goal will be to achieve sales targets by identifying growth opportunities, servicing existing customers, and researching new leads.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement a sales strategy in the respective sales area to ensure sales budget achievement.
- Market intelligence: Conduct extensive travel within the sales territory to gather insights on market trends and customer needs.
- Analyze market data and customer feedback to inform sales decisions and improve customer satisfaction.
- Identify potential leads through business directories, web searches, and digital resources.
- Promote new product launches and control promotional activities to maximize sales revenue.
- Manage operational costs and expenditure to optimize profitability.
- Prepare weekly reports as per set deadlines to monitor sales performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous but not essential).
- 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Agent or Representative with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to learn and understand new product ranges and specifications seasonally.
- Sufficient administrative abilities to support sales efforts.
- Strong PC skills and familiarity with sales systems.
- Experience in the footwear industry, clothing, leather accessories (advantageous).
- Driver's license and own transportation are essential.
The estimated salary for this role is R23000-R25000 per annum (Taxable Cost to Company) plus a commission structure and fuel card benefits.
