Senior Agricultural Liaison Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager - Liaison and Operations to join our team at Farm Manager SA. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with farmers to promote our services, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of our farm.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Agricultural Qualification: A relevant degree in agriculture or a related field is required.
  • Angora Goat Farming Experience: You must have experience in angora goat farming, including breeding, feeding, and managing the health of the animals.
  • Understanding of Farming with Small Stock: You should have a solid understanding of farming with small stock, including the challenges and opportunities associated with this type of farming.
  • Field Agent Experience: You must have experience working as a field agent, including conducting site visits and assessing the condition of crops and animals.


Desirable Skills and Qualities:


  • Angora Goat Farming: You should have a strong knowledge of angora goat farming, including breeding, feeding, and managing the health of the animals.
  • Computer Literate: You must be computer literate, with experience using MS Office and other basic digital skills.
  • Event Planning: You should have experience planning and executing events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills: You must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with farmers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Presentation Skills: You should have strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Teamwork: You must be able to work effectively as part of a team, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Planning Skills: You should have strong planning skills, with the ability to plan and execute projects and events.
  • Highly Conscientious and Deadline-Driven: You must be highly conscientious and deadline-driven, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical Approach: You should have an analytical approach, with the ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Financial Skills: You must have basic financial skills, with the ability to manage budgets and finances.
  • Able to Multi-Task: You should be able to multi-task, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with farmers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You should have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Passion for the Industry: You must have a passion for the industry, with a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends.
