Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced External Sales Representative to join our team at Oxyon People Solutions. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and assisting in the growth of our market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell products by establishing strong customer relationships and providing exceptional support and guidance.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers by offering solutions that meet their needs.
  • Recommend product solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Visit customers to provide quotations and follow up on orders.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Invoice customers and order stock to complete customer backorders.
  • Deliver products when needed and follow up on customer backorders.
  • Complete customer planning and visits using Repsly.
  • Conduct cold calls to expand our customer base.
  • Arrange and conduct demos on welding machines.
  • Complete company vehicle checks each Friday and hand them over to the Workshop Foreman.
  • Keep company vehicles clean and tidy at all times.
  • Attend to all job-related administration tasks.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties required by management.
  • Abide by the company's Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Meet monthly targets and goals as discussed with Management and outlined in the contract.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales or a related field.
  • A Code 8 driver's license.
  • Experience working with customers and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Sales experience and knowledge of the welding industry.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Time management skills and ability to plan routes effectively.

Competencies:

You will have a strong understanding of:

  • Welding machines and consumables.
  • Gas and gas cutting equipment.
  • Power tools and lifting equipment.
  • Generators and abrasives.
  • Spares and hand tools.
  • Plasma systems and compressors.

Estimated Salary: R200,000 - R300,000 per annum based on location and experience.
