We are a well-established company based in Limpopo, seeking a highly skilled Global Learning and Development Manager to join our team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a passion for training and development to make a real impact in our organization.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned trainer to take on a key leadership role within our organization. As a Global Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel daily to different locations to deliver training sessions, working closely with Regional Managers to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions;
  • Conduct thorough training needs analyses, taking into account operational requirements, succession planning, employment equity goals, and SETA discretionary grant criteria;
  • Assist management in compiling training and development plans for employees, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives;
  • Maintain accurate records of training expenditure, ensuring it remains within allocated budget;
  • Develop and review training material, ensuring it is outcomes-based, aligned to Unit Standards, and reflects best practices;
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring they meet operational needs and Workplace Skills Plan commitments;
  • Prepare and arrange necessary training resources and equipment;
  • Facilitate training sessions, utilizing effective teaching methodologies to engage learners;
  • Coordinate assessments, determining learner competency;
  • Update employee files with training records and assessments;
  • Furnish National Training Manager with training feedback reports and certificates;
  • Collaborate with store managers, regional managers, and auditors to discuss employee performance and progress;
  • Stay organized, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines;
  • Communicate effectively, providing regular updates and feedback to stakeholders;
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by senior personnel.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Training and Development;
  • 3-6 years of experience in the retail industry;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a managerial position;
  • Reliable vehicle for travel;
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and visual attention skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Placement Point offers a competitive salary package and a range of benefits to attract and retain top talent. Our salary for this position ranges from R350,000 to R450,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to your basic salary, you will also receive benefits such as bonus incentives, medical aid, and pension fund contributions.
