At Sheldon Recruitment and Selection, we are seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Associate to join our team in Durbanville. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional customer service.
Job Summary:
- We are looking for an experienced and efficient Front Desk Associate to manage the front office operations, ensuring seamless check-ins and check-outs of guests.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing guest documents, distributing emails, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Check-in/out guests, receive/incoming calls, and provide accurate information regarding hotel services.
- Show guests to relevant conference rooms on arrival and ensure their needs are met.
- Collate end-of-day guest documents, scan them into the server, and deliver to the accounts department.
- Distribute emails, administer petty cash, and perform pit checks.
- Prepare handovers to late shifts, set up conference venues, and ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Meet and greet delegates, assist with technical setup, and serve snacks and refreshments.
- Manage security at each shift, IT-related queries, and action Hotel Operating Equipment Repairs.
- Conduct regular spot checks and manage company vehicle maintenance and services.
- Ensure health and safety as well as fire regulations are maintained.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a related role in the hotel industry.
- At least one year of experience with semper system or similar PMS system.
- Presentable and good communication skills.
- Good administrative ability and computer literacy.
Salary Information: Salary is negotiable based on experience.
