Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Governance Professional to join our team at Evolution Group Ltd. As Assistant Company Secretary- Engage Grade 6, you will play a critical role in maintaining company records and statutory registers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute board meeting agendas, minutes, action items, and resolutions.
  • Handle filing with regulatory bodies such as CIPC.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing of resolutions.
  • Review standard legal agreements.
  • Manage annual board meeting calendar.
  • Coordinate executive directors' diaries.
  • Arrange directors' travel arrangements and accommodation.
  • Respond to internal information requests.
  • Ensure adherence to internal group governance structures.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to take on a key position in our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate governance or a legal role, with strong writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around R600,000 - R700,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in corporate governance or a legal role.
  • Experience with CIPC and Bizportal non-negotiable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams non-negotiable.
  • Strong writing skills non-negotiable.
  • General understanding of King IV and corporate law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional certification from the Chartered Institute of Secretaries/Governance is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage well under pressure.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership.
