HSE Specialist

We are seeking a skilled HSE Specialist to provide expertise and support to our Operations team in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective safety procedures.

• Conduct site visits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, emergency response plans, and contractor management procedures.
• Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement safety procedures, training programs, and audits.
• Investigate incidents and conduct root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support on HSE matters related to the country.
• Participate in tender processes and review contracts from an environmental, health, and safety perspective.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EH&S in a local and international work environment.
• IOSH or NEBOSH certificate.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE standards and best practices, quality ISO standards, concepts, processes, and procedures.
• Expertise in hazard job site assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with conducting inspections and audits.
• Knowledge of HSE Legislation.

The estimated salary range for this position is R750,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
