As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's reception and administrative tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and coordinate the end-to-end management of these tasks, aligning with Group quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative qualifications, including a qualification/NQF Level 5. A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in general office administration is required, along with a health-related qualification/certificate (advantageous). You should also have knowledge of ICD codes and medical/clinical terminology. Advanced computer literacy is essential, with SAP being an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you will need to professionally and diligently attend to patient and customer queries, attend to calls received at the front desk, and ensure the admissions/reception area is well maintained each day. You will provide accurate information to customers and patients regarding admissions and booking, process healthcare forms, and assist patients in completing relevant documents.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will accurately capture patient information upon admission, ensure the admitting and treating doctor are captured on the approved system, escalate any issues to the Reception Supervisor, and maintain patient confidentiality. You will also complete the discharge process as necessary, pre-admissions and pre-authorizations, and accurately capture information on the approved system.
