Job Summary:
The Customer Growth Strategist will play a critical role in developing and implementing channel strategies to expand market reach and enhance customer engagement. This position requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Channel Strategy Formulation and Implementation:
- Develop and execute effective channel strategies to expand market reach and enhance customer engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure strategies align with overall business objectives.
- Market and Customer Insight Maintenance:
- Continuously monitor market trends, customer behavior, and industry dynamics to stay ahead of the competition.
- Leverage insights to inform strategic decision-making, optimize business performance, and drive growth.
- New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the expansion of our client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and partners to facilitate successful business ventures.
- Strategic Account Management:
- Manage existing customer accounts with a strategic approach, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and business growth.
- Develop and implement account plans to maximize customer value and achieve long-term business objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Pricing Guideline Management:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance profitability with competitive market dynamics.
- Continuously assess and refine pricing guidelines to meet the changing needs of the market and customers.
Requirements:
- A postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, or a related field, along with a commercial or management degree.
- A valid Code EB driver's license.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a marketing and sales function, including managing complex and/or significant customer relationships and key/national accounts, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain management industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Compensation Package:
R750,000 - R900,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
