About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at Intercare Group South Africa in the Western Cape.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, handling all aspects of patient reception, including booking, arrival, and payment processing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and professional telephone services, responding to patient inquiries and concerns.
- Assist patients in completing forms accurately, documenting information according to internal policies and procedures.
- Manage the patient journey, ensuring seamless interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Direct patients to relevant services, staff, and facilities.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to POPIA regulations.
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, tidy, and organized.
- Refer emergency cases to the nurse's station according to protocol.
- Handle account queries, escalating issues as necessary.
- Collect co-payments and account balances, following Intercare policies and procedures.
- Execute daily cash-up and banking processes.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum qualification of Grade 12.
- Previous experience in a customer-focused environment, preferably in a reception or similar role.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Advantageous to have experience with GoodX systems.
