Compensation and Benefits Coordinator

Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll functions, including salary calculations, overtime, and benefits using Sage 300, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Collect accurate payroll data from Employee Services Lead, incorporating changes to employee status, salaries, or benefits.
- Collaborate with the finance department for budget alignment and payroll reconciliation, providing monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll data.
- Ensure compliance with South African payroll, tax, and labour regulations, submitting statutory requirements like PAYE, UIF, and SARS submissions on time.
- Continuously look for ways to improve payroll processes through automation and system enhancements.
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll records, implementing internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
- Manage complex payroll and personal tax queries, generating tax directives where applicable, preparing EMP501 submissions, and issuing employee tax certificates.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and reports, including EMP201 submissions and bi-annual EMP501, providing detailed insights to executive committees and auditors.
- Generate payroll reports for internal departments, including finance, HR, and management, offering valuable insights on payroll costs and trends.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or HR, or a related field, along with a minimum 3-5 years of payroll processing experience specifically with Sage 300. Proficiency in South African tax and labour laws is also essential.
Benefits
SPARK offers a competitive salary range of R650,000 - R850,000 per annum, commensurate with skills and experience, as well as performance-based annual bonuses and increases.
