About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urology Business Development Director to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales strategies and tactics to secure Boston Scientific's urology product positioning and market penetration in the region.

You will work closely with the sales team to capture and broaden market share, drive customer satisfaction, and achieve business growth through focused business planning and people management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies and activities in conjunction with the Marketing and Training team.
  • Planning and controlling expenses to ensure sales objectives are met within budget.
  • Integrating individual territory plans and account profiles into a broader regional sales plan and coaching sales teams accordingly.
  • Maintaining awareness of industry trends and their impact on local/regional sales activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Industry experience working in a similar strategic sales and team management position within the clinical/medical device area.
  • Strong business acumen with experience delivering sales strategies, direct sales and marketing, product lifecycles, P&L, competition and market trend analysis.
  • Team management experience including direct reports and cross-functional leadership.
  • English language skills, both written and verbal, at a professional working proficiency level, or above.
