We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Operations Director to lead our logistics team and drive strategic growth. This is a permanent role with opportunities for extended hours during peak projects and seasons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:

  • Business Development:
    • Identify market opportunities and emerging technologies that can drive business growth.
    • Build partnerships for service expansion and market diversification.
    • Drive business development to expand logistics services, focusing on innovation and customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee logistics operations for efficiency and reliability, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Implement best practices for efficiency and quality, leveraging technology and innovation to enhance operational performance.
    • Direct the order cycle for compliance and customer satisfaction, streamlining processes to improve customer experience.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop financial strategy and budget for the logistics unit, ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitability targets.
    • Monitor financial performance and optimize costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes as needed.
    • Maintain performance metrics and analyze data to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Leadership and Talent Management:
    • Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the logistics team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
    • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring the team has the skills and expertise needed to drive business growth.
    • Embrace new technologies and innovation, staying ahead of the curve to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Customer Experience and Satisfaction:
    • Advocate for customer-centric approaches and high service standards, ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded.
    • Monitor customer feedback and address issues promptly, leveraging customer insights to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Technology and Innovation:
    • Stay updated on technological advancements and industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to drive business growth.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Develop and track performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring the team is aligned with business objectives and performance targets.

    • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining a strong reputation and avoiding non-compliance risks.
  • Project and Infrastructure Management:
    • Plan, monitor, and implement logistics projects, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
    • Oversee logistics infrastructure development, ensuring the company's infrastructure is scalable and meets business needs.
    Requirements
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
    • Up to 10 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 8 years in operational leadership or specialist positions.
    • Professional certification such as APICS is advantageous.
    Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, plus benefits and bonuses based on performance.
