About Experian

Experian, a leader in the data analytics industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scoring Analyst.

This role will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality analytical solutions that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. • Ensure compliance with Experian procedures and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Specify and implement data extraction and manipulation routines for complex projects, guiding junior analysts as needed.
    • Extract, formulate, and manipulate data to create structured samples aligned with business requirements.
    • Identify critical business issues through data analysis and interpret results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
    • Implement quality control measures for modeling and reporting, reducing error rates and improving efficiency.
    • Develop high-quality models within project timelines, meeting both analytical and business objectives.
    • Analyze source data integrity and participate in auditing models and results for accuracy.
    • Perform audits to support statistical model implementation and decision tool deployment.
    • Maintain quality and accuracy of work and ensure effective collaboration with team members.

Project Management:
  1. • Assess client requirements to produce project specifications and documentation for review by the line manager, addressing practical implementation concerns.
    • Accurately define project scope, duration, resources, and costs to develop a project plan and charter for review by the line manager.
    • Support operations workload on a day-to-day basis, liaising with onshore/offshore resources as needed.
    • Plan and organize project workload to meet client commitments and agreed schedules.
    • Prepare project status reports for clients and the line manager to communicate project progress effectively.

Client Relationships:
  1. • Support other departments/divisions within Experian in managing client relationships, ensuring client commitments are understood and met during the project.
    • Provide clear, concise, and accurate information related to the project.
    • Lead client/customer meetings to present results, conclusions, and recommendations.
    • Address internal and external queries promptly, maintaining strong relationships with clients/customers at all levels.

Innovation & Problem-Solving:
  1. • Determine steps to investigate/correct problems, driving improvement and innovation within the organization.
    • Challenge existing processes and recommend product enhancements.
    • Regularly review standards (e.g., process flows/methodology/documentation) and suggest improvements.
    • Continuously improve own and team skills by reviewing and testing new techniques.

Teamwork:
  1. • Mentor junior project team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
    • Provide support to the line manager on people management, KPIs, and budget issues.
    • Effectively communicate project issues, fostering team spirit and mutual cooperation.

Pre-Sales & Sales Support:
  1. • Attend client meetings as required to support the sales process, providing expert analytics solutions knowledge and demonstrations.
    • Present in front of clients and prospects, showcasing Experian Analytics Solutions.
    • Participate in bid reviews, providing insights and recommendations.
    • Offer analytics training to the sales force, enhancing their understanding of Experian solutions.

Personal Development:
  1. • Own and execute Personal Development Plans, prioritizing self-improvement and growth.
    • Seek feedback as part of the feedback process, driving continuous learning and self-awareness.
    • Stay informed about the latest regulatory, methodological, analytical, business, industry, and market developments.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars, expanding professional networks and expertise.

Requirements:
  1. • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high mathematical content (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research (O.R.), Economics, Physical Sciences).
    • Significant experience in statistical/analytics project work.
