Job Summary
Giant Eagle is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused team member to join our sales floor team. As an Overnight Team Member, you will play a critical role in ensuring our stores are well-stocked and ready for the next day's customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish products on the shelf, rotating stock and ensuring code dating procedures are followed to maintain the highest quality products for our customers.
- Ring up customer transactions by scanning products or punching prices into the register, finalize sales, and collect payment.
- Set up visually appealing displays on the sales floor to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Assist with light stocking duties and inform management of any out-of-stock items to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized back room by unloading deliveries and ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Follow established procedures to ensure our stores meet out-of-stock percentage goals and maintain a competitive edge.
- Restore misplaced items to their designated locations to maintain a well-organized store environment.
- Bag customer orders and place them in their carts to provide a convenient and hassle-free shopping experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues promptly.
- Adhere to food safety and safety guidelines when handling products and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in and promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect for all team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
