Job Title: Senior Training Development Manager

About the Role:
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Training Development Manager to join our team at Placement Point. As a key member of our training department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
• Travel daily to different stores to conduct training needs analyses in liaison with Regional Managers, taking into consideration operational needs, succession planning, employment equity goals, and SETA discretionary grant criteria.
• Assist Management with the compilation of training and development plans for employees.
• Approve training expenditure and authorise training expenses in accordance with the allocated training budget.
• Develop and review training material in accordance with identified needs, ensuring it is outcomes-based where applicable and aligned to Unit Standards and reflects appropriate training methodologies.
• Coordinate and schedule training sessions in accordance with operational needs and Workplace Skills Plan commitments.
• Prepare, arrange, and ready training material and requisite training resources and equipment prior to scheduled training taking place.
• Manage learnerships (where applicable) in accordance with internal and SETA requirements.
• Facilitate training (including Induction) in accordance with stipulated outcomes employing outcomes-based training methodologies.
• Schedule assessments after training has taken place to determine competency.
• Maintain accurate training records within agreed-upon timeframes and compile weekly feedback reports for submission to relevant stakeholders.
• Update employee files with training records and assessments on completion of training and obtain training certificates for HR/National Training Manager as required.

Requirements:
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Training and Development Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 3-6 years of experience in the retail environment.
• 1-2 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Reliable vehicle essential.
• Excellent time management, self-motivation, problem-solving, and visual attention skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Salary Estimate:
R600,000 - R800,000 per annum depending on experience.
