Job Summary:

MECS Africa is seeking a skilled Offshore Drill Rig Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on an offshore drillship and hold valid certifications such as Bosiet, OGUK, and Seamans book.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance controls of mechanical equipment and devices as per AMOS Work orders
• Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan
• Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried out, precautions are taken and the work permit is signed
• Monitor and prevent oil spills from hydraulic operated equipment, power related equipment as well as drilling mechanical related equipment and repair the equipment immediately in accordance with instructions
• Maintain working areas, tools, equipment and safety harnesses in a safe, clean, tidy and orderly manner

Contract Details:

• Contract duration: 12 months (renewable)
• Work/leave cycle: 28 days on duty 28 days off duty
• Salary: 340 EUR / USD per day of work
• Onshore: Paid 50% of the daily salary, for each day of presence onshore in the country of work
• Working hours: 12 hours a day / 84 hours a week (12X7)
• Accommodation: On Board
• Insurances: Provided by the Company
• Flights: Provided by the Company

Requirements:

• Min. 3 years experience on an Offshore drillship
• Valid Bosiet, OGUK, Seamans book
• Mechanical Diploma
• Various professional and training certificates
• Work employment certificates
