">We are working with a leading retail hardware organization to find an experienced New Business Development Manager to join their team in Durban, KZN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and developing new opportunities.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Lead the regional team in identifying and evaluating viable property market opportunities
- Ensure the group has a strong presence in the property development industry
- Evaluate prospective sites on macro and micro levels
- Present selected sites to the Regional Committee for membership approval
- Finalize lease agreements and secure selected sites for development
- Interview and evaluate prospective retailers, including cost analysis of setting up
- Oversight of facilitating the sale of existing stores
- Develop a growth strategy in line with the regional retail operations strategy to drive business growth
- Provide leadership to retailers in new business development
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
- Develop and grow a network of sustainable retail stores and members
- Implement best operating procedures
- Manage the corporate identity of the brand
Requirements
">- National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite
- Relevant business-related tertiary qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience specific to the FMCG retail industry
- Experience in the building/hardware industry, an advantage
- Minimum 5 years experience in the property business
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of local property and retail development market
- Firm understanding of financial statements particularly cash flow statements and financing options
- Ability to undertake and interpret financial feasibility studies
- Strong negotiating skills
- Thorough knowledge of leasing and contracts
- Ability to interpret demographic data
Benefits
