About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our current business while identifying new profitable opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales and Marketing role, with at least 2 years of leadership experience. A strong background in the automotive industry is essential, as well as a solid understanding of costing principles.

You will work closely with customers to identify growth opportunities and drive sales. Your excellent communication and analytical skills will enable you to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure timely and accurate submission of price increase justifications.

This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and implementing Value Added (VA) and Value Engineering (VE) opportunities to drive profitability. You will also analyze customer forecasts, manage inventories, and ensure delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships to achieve monthly and yearly targets.
  • Network with existing and potential customers to identify growth opportunities and drive sales.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of price increase justifications to customers.
  • Align with SLAs to meet Economic Development Plan requirements.
  • Analyze customer forecasts, manage inventories, and ensure delivery performance.
  • Communicate trends and variances to support effective decision-making.
  • Identify and implement VA/VE opportunities to drive profitability.
  • Ensure accurate costing, analysis, and pricing uploads for customers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a Sales and Marketing role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 5 years of automotive industry experience.
  • A BTech or Degree in Marketing, Finance, or Logistics, or equivalent.
  • Strong financial understanding regarding costing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with customers.
