At Communicate Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Strategist to lead our financial functions across the group. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and implementing the financial strategy and plans to achieve business objectives.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with excellent financial management skills. As a Senior Financial Strategist, you will partner with the CFO and other executives to set financial objectives and targets, monitor adherence to strategy and KPIs, and guide the consolidation of budgets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to drive business growth and profitability;
  • Partner with the CFO and other executives to set financial objectives and targets;
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against KPIs;
  • Guide the compilation of consolidated budgets and ensure compliance with JSE listing requirements;
  • Design, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adequate financial control;
  • Investigate and analyze errors and exceptions, and manage the external and internal audit process;
  • Manage staff and oversee statutory interim and annual reporting;
  • Review financial information in SENS announcements and conduct cost benchmarking exercises;
  • Maintain long-term business plans and financial forecasting models, and oversee bank transfers and cash flow management;
  • Ensure compliance with tax act and regulations, review tax calculations, and submit tax returns;
  • Liaise with SARS regarding tax disputes and review monthly VAT calculations and submissions;
  • Manage the share incentive scheme and analyze financial sustainability and growth requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a CA(SA) qualification and relevant experience in financial management. You should also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer
