Empire Recruitment is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our aviation client in Africa.

As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the revenue and debtors function within our client's African business network.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile allocated Balance Sheet accounts, including Assets, Debtors, and Revenue, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, capture assets, and facilitate efficient financial management.
  • CAPEX Support: Assist with the completion of CIPs for CAPEX projects, ensuring timely execution.
  • Bad Debt Provision: Calculate provision for Bad Debt, maintaining financial stability and minimizing risk.
  • Inter-Company Accounts: Manage all Inter-company accounts and confirmations, ensuring seamless transactions.
  • Team Leadership: Set objectives for the accounts receivable team, aligned with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Credit Management: Negotiate with clients in cases of non-payment, ensuring positive outcomes and minimizing losses.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare various financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc forecasting reports, to inform business decisions.
  • Revenue Capture: Accurately transfer Revenue (Invoices) into Pastel from relevant ERP systems, ensuring timely collection of revenues due.
  • Training and Development: Provide support and training to Accounts Receivable Clerks, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles by all team members, staying updated on industry and legislative changes.
  • Financial Analysis: Facilitate accurate reporting and analysis on financial data and metrics, such as cash forecasting and sales statistics.
  • Cash Collection: Track and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely collection of revenues due.
  • Credit Checks: Conduct credit checks on new and prospective clients, mitigating risk and ensuring sound business practices.
  • Accounts Receivable Policies: Implement accounts receivable policies to ensure clients pay on time and collect past-due payments.
  • Payment Feedback Reports: Create monthly payment collection feedback reports to guide the Finance team.
  • Cash Inflows: Monitor cash inflows by tracking invoices, deposits, and payment correspondence.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about their accounts through statements and reminders.
  • Accounts Receivable Activities: Compile accounts receivable activities, including ageing reports and cash forecasts.
  • Audits and Compliance: Assist in local and group audits, maintaining financial transparency and integrity.
