We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Professional to join our team as a Firewall Expert. This is a dynamic role that requires expertise in deploying and maintaining firewalls to ensure the security and availability of our corporate and data centre networks.

Job Overview

BET Software in Gauteng is a leading provider of innovative software solutions, and we are looking for a skilled professional to help us take our security measures to the next level.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in firewall deployment and duties, with strong knowledge and experience with Fortinet firewalls. They will also have expertise in FortiGate firewall technology stack, common protocols DNS, DHCP, common network protocols and concepts, Windows interoperability, security, patch maintenance processes, and design and architecture ability.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage time and projects successfully, work well under pressure, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with our Core network team.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated R1,200,000 per annum based on industry standards for this role in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support all corporate and DC Firewalls
  • Daily administration and rule base configuration
  • Oversee the implementation of Network Security on the Edge and Internal perimeters
  • Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and change controls
  • Assist with the organisation's compliance and regulatory requirements (i.e. PCI DSS)
  • Perform constant capacity planning and review across Firewall estate
  • Maintain Firewall OS and patch cycle
  • Perform setup and implementation of new sites and locations
  • Review and improve standard operating procedures with the Firewall team
  • Design and implement standards across all Firewalls
