Dedicated Educational Support Specialist for a Young Neurodivergent Individual

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate educational support specialist to join our team at The Neurodiversity Centre. As a dedicated facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of a 17-year-old neurodivergent girl with a PDA profile.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with autistic individuals, teaching, and managing educational programs. They must be able to take the lead in providing daily guidance and support, ensuring tailored learning opportunities that cater to her unique needs.

This full-time position involves supporting the individual in their daily executive functioning, including school and learning activities, note-taking, and tutoring after school. You will also be required to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to understand and support her individual needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with the individual and her family. Experience in special education strategies, curriculum adaptation, and life skills training is essential.
We offer a competitive salary range of R 12,000 to R 15,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a attractive salary, we provide ongoing training and support from our multi-disciplinary team knowledgeable in the field of Neurodiversity.
