Senior Acquisitions Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisitions Manager to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal, Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring primary clients within identified segments to generate gross operating income and contribute to the bank's revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire new primary accounts by sourcing leads, developing contact plans, and consistently following through on the program.
  • Generate gross operating income by providing competitive rates to clients within Nedbank standards, pricing using Nedbank systems to ensure required returns, and applying for lending facilities according to risks.
  • Maximize client profitability by matching products that meet their needs.
  • Ensure clients are fully banked by cross-selling and servicing to meet all identified client needs.
  • Retain clients by ensuring all their banking needs are met by Nedbank.
  • Source leads by building relationships, using networks, collaborating with other divisions, obtaining referrals, and conducting marketing activities to target potential customers.
  • Conduct needs analysis with clients and match products and services to their needs by following Nedbank processes and complying with FAIS requirements.
  • Provide accurate advice to meet client needs by maintaining knowledge, upskilling, reading widely, attending courses, and being knowledgeable.
  • Meet client needs by providing feedback on progress, responding to requests with appropriate information/advice at all reasonable times, within turnaround times, and managing expectations.
  • Ensure clients can use products and services by providing/organizing training and demonstrations.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers by meeting all standards and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with other departments by informing them of your role, sharing knowledge, making recommendations, referring leads, and working with teams to secure new accounts.
  • Keep abreast of legislation and industry changes impacting your role by reading relevant newsletters, websites, and attending sessions.
  • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate values through interaction with teams and stakeholders.
  • Improve personal capability and stay updated in your field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for yourself through input and feedback from managers.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Prior experience in sales positions responsible for acquiring new accounts and/or cross-selling into existing accounts in a financial services environment is essential.

Salary:

R500,000 - R750,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
