Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the company's supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Procurement: Manage the procurement of specialized and general materials in line with company requirements and specifications.
  • Procurement Planning: Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material needs and develop procurement plans to meet operational demands.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained and minimize disruptions in production or operations.
  • Outsourcing Manufacturing Services: Manage the outsourcing of manufacturing services, ensuring the timely delivery of outsourced materials and services.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, and address any supplier-related issues or concerns.
  • Purchase Orders: Issue and track purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement.
  • Palladium System Knowledge: Utilize the Palladium procurement system for purchase order processing, tracking, and supplier management.
  • Coordinating Deliveries: Track and coordinate deliveries to ensure goods arrive on time and meet required quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including material procurement, inventory management, and supplier relations.
  • Familiarity with procurement software, specifically the Palladium system, is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Salary: R22,000 - R32,000 per month. Located in Rhodes, Western Cape.
