Research Scientist

The Leslie lab is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to work on an exciting new NIH funded study investigating immune development in male and female children by studying vaccine responses in twin pairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping receive, record, and process longitudinal samples from these twin pairs, as well as setting up and running diverse assays, including high-dimensional flow cytometry, in vitro simulations, multiplex cytokine profiling, and single-cell sequencing. The position requires meticulous record-keeping, excellent lab skills, and dedication. In return, the candidate will receive hands-on training and experience in diverse and cutting-edge lab techniques and the opportunity to participate in an exciting and international research program.

Requirements

• The candidate must possess an Honours or degree in biology, immunology, or an equivalent field.
• 2 years of research laboratory experience, preferably with samples processing experience.
• Research experience in immunology techniques, particularly flow cytometry.
• High-level computer literacy.
