Business Development Executive Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our team at Silk Road Consulting (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of prospects
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Understand client challenges and needs, and propose solution-based products
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to clients
  • Negotiate terms and close deals to achieve sales targets
  • Work closely with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of solution-based products
  • Set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Monitor sales performance and market trends to inform strategy
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
  • Client-focused, deliver on client deliverables
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented, tenacious, versatile, systems-focused, empathetic, and resilient
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in CRM software
  • Go-Getter attitude
