Strategic Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our team at Silk Road Consulting (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of prospects
- Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Understand client challenges and needs, and propose solution-based products
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to clients
- Negotiate terms and close deals to achieve sales targets
- Work closely with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of solution-based products
- Set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Monitor sales performance and market trends to inform strategy
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
- Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
- Client-focused, deliver on client deliverables
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented, tenacious, versatile, systems-focused, empathetic, and resilient
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Go-Getter attitude
