Operational Administrator Assistant

We are seeking an ambitious Business Commerce graduate to join our team at Pillango Placements as an Operational Administrator.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising the processing of FX payments on behalf of clients, effectively connecting the organisation with financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Settlements: Assist with transaction settlements and administration by preparing and submitting BOPs to the bank.
- Payment Monitoring: Monitor upcoming and overdue payments and ensure timely collection of required documents or information from clients to ensure settlement.
- Verification: Verify transaction details with clients and banks over the phone while addressing any inquiries that arise.
- Record Keeping: Update client files daily and maintain thorough records of transactions for a complete audit trail.
- Reserve Bank Approvals: Assist with Reserve Bank approvals by managing upcoming renewals and drafting letters, ensuring that submissions are timely and include all required client documentation.
- Advance Payments: Oversee advance payments to ensure all import documentation is received and correspondence are reviewed, submitted and filed.
- Client Engagement: Engage in meetings with clients, their suppliers, or banks to discuss transactional activities, gain insights into their processes, secure necessary approvals, and suggest alternative options that adhere to both parties' Reserve Bank regulations.
- B Com Degree in Finance, Investment, Risk Management
- 1 - 2 Years work experience preferred
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in basic MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities, with patience, persistence
- Deadline-oriented, with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Good communication etiquette
- Team player
