Job Title: Registered Scrub Nurse

RPO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Registered Scrub Nurse to join their theatre department in a private hospital. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to be part of a leading healthcare team, providing high-quality care and ensuring the best outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies
  • Ensure the sterility of the operating area by adhering to strict infection control protocols
  • Monitor the patient's vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing care provided during surgery
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and a seamless surgical experience
  • Participate in the surgical team's briefings and debriefings to enhance patient care
  • Provide post-operative care and support to patients in the recovery room

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a scrub nurse in a theatre setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
