Technical Sales and Marketing Professional

Bushveld Minerals seeks a highly experienced Technical Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team. This key role will focus on executing the company's technical marketing and sales plans, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in technical sales, marketing, and logistics. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and overseeing the end-to-end sales and marketing value chain.
Key Responsibilities- Marketing/Sales
- Create and nurture a diverse market presence through targeted marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships.
- Secure frame contracts and ensure timely delivery against agreed-upon terms.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics, including international press, market intelligence, and customer needs.
- Represent Bushveld Minerals externally on sales and marketing matters, establishing and maintaining relationships with industry bodies and trade organizations.
- Maximize revenue by identifying high-value markets and optimizing product mix.
- Manage enquiries for products offered by Bushveld Vametco, coordinate with production teams on technical support, and enforce Rights of First Refusal Agreements for vanadium supply.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of contract structuring, pricing, payment terms, technical compliance, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee or manage the processing of orders, including receiving Purchase Orders, checking for correctness, and updating customers on despatch plans.
- Logistics
- Schedule and manage despatch export work, including agreeing on despatch dates with production and management, and managing the despatch log.
- Oversee and manage despatch logistics, including booking road transport, liaising with contractors, and receiving Load Advice/Weighbridge Waybill/Final Mass Ticket/Certificate of Origin/Certificate of Warranty from works.
- Ensure accurate packing, repacking, and packaging, and facilitate customer liaison – logistics, including agreeing on shipping plans and coordinating with shipping lines/vessel agents.
- Manage end-to-end forwarding and clearing processes, verify payments, and submit service provider invoices for payment.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.
- 15 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in technical sales and marketing.
- Steel making expertise and experience, particularly with V205 bearing steel.
- Expert knowledge of vanadium products and their applications.
- Proven commercial acuity and ability to close deals.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
We offer a competitive salary estimated to be around $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
