We are seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our dynamic team at Empire Recruitment. As a leading manufacturer, we strive to maintain and develop our market share by offering exceptional product solutions and service.

  • Sales Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze existing and new customers in designated areas to determine their class, current and future business potential, and existing sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement short-term and medium-term call plans to effectively manage customers in designated areas.
  • Continuously identify new business opportunities, with a focus on developing new OEM business.
  • Execute assigned call plans, ensuring existing customers are actively serviced, and new opportunities and sales leads are properly followed up.
  • Provide advice and support to customers on our range of products, matching their needs with engineered solutions.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales performance to ensure sales budgets are met.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call duties as part of our 24-hour service program.
  • Technical Responsibilities:
  • Understand power transmission formulas and use them to select our equipment.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our products, including their catalogues and selection criteria.
  • Acquire knowledge of applications and their impact on equipment selection.
  • Conduct site meetings to evaluate applications and resolve operating problems.
  • Perform necessary calculations for sizing, recommending, and selecting equipment.
  • Participate in on-call duties for after-hours backup and breakdowns.
  • Acquire knowledge of our SAP informatics system to verify stock status and availability.
  • Administration Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit call plans and call reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer data in the master file, ensuring correct activity descriptions and classifications.
  • Prepare quotations using Salesforce, ensuring technical and commercial terms are understood and met.
  • Enquire into and confirm delivery status of offered equipment.
  • Process sales orders onto our computer system.
  • Follow up on processed sales orders to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Assist with internal sales functions as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a trade counter or front counter sales position.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Experienced in handling customers and have exceptional new business skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, selling, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
