Job Title: Strategic Business Development Leader

At Watershed Consulting, we are seeking an experienced Senior Sales and Marketing Manager to drive revenue growth and execute sales and marketing strategies.

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the construction or civil engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as an effective business, sales, and marketing strategist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and grow existing accounts.
  • Manage sales cycles, including negotiations and closing high-value deals.
  • Built and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.
  • Experience managing and directing a sales team.

Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends and opportunities.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns that resonate with specific client segments.
  • Collaborate with the management team to create marketing materials that highlight product benefits and features.

General Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of sales and marketing professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Manage the marketing and sales budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Present regular updates on sales and marketing performance to senior management.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years sales and marketing experience in the construction / civil engineering industry.
  • A marketing/sales qualification is advantageous.
  • Understanding of customer requirements.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Salary and Benefits:R60k per annum, plus company vehicle and commission-based bonuses. This remuneration package reflects the competitive nature of the sales and marketing industry within the construction and civil engineering sectors.
