Security Protector

TSU International is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard people, assets, and property.

The core responsibility of this position is to maintain a high visibility presence, prevent illegal actions, and ensure the safety of designated areas.

• Patrol assigned areas to detect potential security risks and respond accordingly.
• Maintain surveillance equipment, inspect buildings and equipment for breaches, and monitor alarms.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents within designated areas according to policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assuming overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas.
• Ensuring that designated areas are patrolled in accordance with outlined security procedures.
• Recording patrols on the On-Site Check system and clocking points every hour.
• Providing exceptional customer service to employees and visitors regarding security concerns.
• Escalating emergency situations to relevant role players.
• Investigating breaches and maintaining all relevant site registers.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• A valid Psira Grade C certification.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• The ability to pass a background check (criminal check, reference check, etc.).
• Previous security-related work experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• The physical ability to perform continuous exertion as needed.

We offer a competitive salary of R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience.
