**So, what will you do?**
As a Scrum Master, you'll be a servant-leader and facilitator for our Product teams and will be responsible for making sure teams live by the values and practices of Scrum or Kanban. You will also coach, guide and drive Agile methods within the teams and with those who interact with the teams. You will facilitate and manage delivery of product operations and development teams within the product management framework at iKhokha.
**In addition to the above, you will**:
- Guide the team and the organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to improve customer service and user experience.
- Responsible for facilitating the adoption, implementation and sustainability of agile principles, processes, and practices; by supporting and coaching product managers, scrum teams and other interested stakeholders and integrating agile principles into team practices and work products.
- Build a safe and trusting environment where conflict can be managed in a healthy way without fear of blame.
- Facilitate and improve communication, collaboration, decision making and conflict resolution.
- Facilitation of all Scrum ceremonies (Daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospectives and Product Backlog Refinement).
- Guide team in establishing normalised estimations and help them base sprint commitments on average velocity.
- Support the Product Manager, Scrum Team, and Support team in DevOps management, and ensuring timely resolutions for technical issues; customer facing.
- Coaches the team on self-organisation to fill the intentional gaps left in Agile/Scrum frameworks and increase accountability in the team.
- Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style wherever possible leading by example.
- Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work ensuring that the team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery.
- Ensure visibility of impediments using an Impediments Wall and facilitate the removal of impediments each Sprint.
- Shield the team from external interferences and the uncontrolled injection of work.
- Help teams and individuals clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Support the Product Manager in prioritising the backlog regularly, making sure the highest valued items are being worked on each sprint.
- Support the Product Manager in tracking changes to scope and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Product Manager and team in release planning and preparation.
- Generate and maintain team metric, keeping track of and communicating Sprint scope and commitments, impediments to progress and overall sprint performance (i.e.: velocity, lead time etc).
- With the Product Manager and other stakeholders, assist in the facilitation of the end-to-end product lifecycle, closely communicating and collaborating with supporting functions such as data and analysis, sales, marketing and customer support.
**Qualifications**
- Degree/Diploma or other relevant qualification.
- A Scrum Master certification (CSM) is preferred
**Deal Breakers**:
- Agile principles, values and the Agile Manifesto as well as Agile software development methods such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean.
- Agile techniques such as User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
- Scrum values, roles, theory and practices, servant leadership, facilitation and presentation, mentoring, conscious communication, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, collaboration and transparency.
- Documented patterns and techniques related to the Scrum approach (i.e. Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
- Group facilitation approaches (i.e conflict resolution, effective team work, etc.).
- Configuration tools (i.e. JIRA; Confluence) as well as experience and/or knowledge of implementing Agile at scale (i.e. LESS).
