**Education**:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Operate, maintain, and repair installed and portable heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems.

**Qualifications**:
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Speak and understand English. Understand oral and written instructions and ability to communicate necessary information in performance of operations. Be able to obtain a security clearance.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Installs, modifies, and repairs refrigeration - hermetic, semi-hermetic, mechanical, screw, scroll and centrifugal units to 1100 tons; air conditioning, ventilation; reverse osmosis systems, computer rooms; process coolers; ice machines; evaporative cooling; air compressing and related control systems, including pneumatic, DDC, and building control systems equipment.

**Physical Requirements**:
Standing 1-6 hrs.

Walking 1-5 hrs.

Sitting 1-8 hrs.

Pulling and Pushing 1-4 hrs.

Reaching Overhead 1-3 hrs.

Bending/Stooping 1-6 hrs.

Kneeling 1-3 hrs.

Climbing in and out of truck 1-25 times

Lifting 1-25 lb. 25 - 45 lbs. 10-30 times

Use of hands and fingers

Use of hand tools

**Safety (Personal Protection) Requirements**:
May require hard hat, safety goggles, safety shoes, ear protection, Hard toed safety shoes or boots, safety glasses or goggles, gloves, etc (as required by task)

**Status**:
Non-Exempt

**Salary Range**:
$12K-$25K yearly BOE ($ or £)

**Other Duties**:

- US Citizenship is not required.
- Excellent oral and communication skills in English are required.
- Must be able to pass a background screening and provide an acceptable vetting (police) certificate.
- Must be able to pass annual physical fitness exam in accordance with your position.
- Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.
- This position is located on the remote island of Ascension with no family accommodations available.
