The Head of Compliance's role is dedicated to identifying risks and managing compliance within the business. The Head of Compliance will guide the Executive and Management in discharging their duties in compliance with applicable laws, rules, codes, and standards. This role performs the following activities to prevent reputational, financial, or other losses to the business.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain the compliance and risk management framework.
- Establish and monitor compliance management plans, compliance Regulatory Universe, policies, processes, to ensure the organization complies with laws and regulations, and statutory and supervisory requirements.
- Monitor and interpret industry developments and relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide advice, awareness, and training on compliance related matters.
- Manage and report compliance breaches and risk exposure.
- Prepare and present reports to management and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Liaising with regulators and other stakeholders
- Maintaining departmental structures, processes, and resources
- Prepare and update all registers required by the FSCA.
- Audit and report on KI's

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Degree - B Comm/LLB or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification required. (Risk and Compliance)
- Industry acknowledged certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO27001/2 Implementation and Audit, Risk Management, Business Resilience or equivalent)
- 8+ years' experience in risk management, compliance, audit or equivalent required.
- Knowledge and good understanding of governance, compliance, and risk.
- Knowledge and experience of industry related standards within this discipline (e.g.ISO31000; PCI-DSS).
- Strong understanding of business operating models and structures and processes supporting them.
- Understanding of effective compliance monitoring.
