Bindery Manager

CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking to fill the position of a Bindery Manager. The position will report to the Production Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is advantageous
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualification is required (such as Printing Management or Mechanised Bookbinding qualification)
- Min 5years’ experience working within a bindery/finishing (print) production environment, two of which in a management role
- General functions applicable to a management role will be discussed during the interview process.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage workflow within the bindery to ensure that the production plan is adhered to and that deadlines are met in line with the communicated quality standards
- Provide direction and guidance to the bindery team(s) to ensure the efficient running of the bindery department
- Ensure that the department is managed to achieve the deliverables and targets set. Maintain efficient lines of communication with all the departments directly involved within the production process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Analyse daily production reports and identify any discrepancies and immediate reaction required with a focus being aimed at continuous improvement.
- Monthly, weekly and daily reporting to be provided as agreed upon with the Production Manager.

Permanent (with 6 months’ probation)

**Standard hours**

Will be required to work day shift but be available when required

**Salary**

A market related salary is offered based on experience and skills set
